How did I live without?

I like getting special requests, well mostly. A lady right around Christmas time was nervous to ask. She wanted a small bowl for dipping. Ok! After a bit of back and forth emailing, we worked it out. When someone asks for something special, you do not just make the one. Only making one is scary. What if something happens? Plus it is easier to work in multiples anyway. She wanted 4, so 8 were made. It is a small bowl with a flat bottom, no foot ring. This piece has so many possibilities. What would I use this for?

Ice Cream, Soup, Cocktail Sauce, sure- dipping, but really it is a great side bowl.

She loved the 4 she ordered- decorated with crabs.

We used one of the extras for New Years to dip our littleneck clams in butter. It was perfect.
