There is a connection between clay and food. Working with clay and working with soil connects you to the Earth. It is meditative. It is pure and primitive. Inspired by where we live and how we live, we design plates and serving pieces that contribute to the overall aesthetic of the meal. We discuss function and the role of the piece in reference to the dining experience. How will this enhance our lives? Does this need to exist? We aim to personally connect with the user. Working in clay furthers a tradition. We aim to create a diverse selection to fit into any home or art collection. Delaware Bay Clay makes utilitarian ceramics for daily life.
